Job Summary:

The Powder Coater operates and maintains the powder coat equipment.  This role ensures Martin products are powder-coated according to established quality standards and within the required time frame.  This role will cross-train to ensure products are built, assembled, and prepared for final shipping to the customer.
   

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Operates and maintains the powder coat equipment. Ensures all processes are performed satisfactorily during the project.
  • Maintains powder inventory, ensuring powder products are stored and handled in appropriate manners.
  • Cleans and prepares parts or assemblies for painting or finishing operations; hangs clean parts. Operates and maintains the wash bay; maintains water level and PhosBite levels as necessary. 
  • Responsible for daily titration checks on wash water to ensure parts are being cleaned properly.
  • Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations particular to the working conditions.
  • Assembles product components following procedures and drawings; uses tools and methods necessary to produce quality assemblies.
  • Initiates procedures that comply with OSHA / MSHA requirements regarding safety issues, use of safety equipment, material safety data sheets, etc.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • One or more years of job-related experience preferred.
