Job Summary:

The Controller provides hands-on leadership by providing accurate and timely financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the USA Business Unit as well as proactively managing the company’s financial affairs.  This position is responsible for maintaining a culture of “no surprises”, continuous improvement and input to decision-making and enhancing/maintaining company fiscal policies.  The Controller is a key management liaison for other departments and will play an active role in providing leadership, support and mentoring to international business unit Controllers.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, maintains, and analyzes actual results to budgets, projections, and prior year, including monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and income accounts.
  • Responsible for Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, costing and inventory accounting, treasury functions, taxes (with outside firm) audit (with outside firm), payroll processing, budgeting, and various analysis activities.
  • Coordinates and controls all accounting and asset management functions.
  • Prepares trend analysis and reports on financial statements, sales activities, margins, variances, operating expenses, and working capital.
  • Leads annual budgeting, rolling forecast, and financial target setting in support of operating plan initiatives.

Education, Experience & Training:

  • Four-year degree in accounting or equivalent.  MBA/CPA/CMA preferred.
  • Ten or more years of accounting and financial experience with at least five years as a lead financial manager for a manufacturing business unit.
  • Five or more years of previous supervisory experience.
  • Proven success in serving as a senior business partner to a business unit management team.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of ERP systems, financial consolidation software, dashboard tools and superb excel skills.
